Marmol Integrated is making consistent progress on shotcrete works at multiple locations along the Al Sharqiyah Expressway near Sur. The works form part of an ongoing infrastructure development aimed at improving road safety and long-term structural durability in the region.
The shotcrete activity involves the application of sprayed concrete onto exposed rock and soil surfaces. This process is used to stabilize cut slopes and embankments along the expressway corridor, reducing the risk of erosion and slope failure.
Marmol’s scope includes the installation of steel mesh reinforcement and shotcrete application under varying site conditions. Despite challenging terrain in some sections, the activity is proceeding according to the established schedule.
The current phase contributes to the structural development of the route, supporting the expressway’s intended function as a durable and safe transport link across Al Sharqiyah.
